This training, along with additional readings, defines perinatal loss and addresses the ways in which infant loss affects parents and families. The presentation reviews cultural considerations related to death and loss and offers resources to providers who support families coping with pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or death of an infant. This course includes an interview with Ivy Margulies, PhD, expert in perinatal loss.

 

AUDIENCE

This course is for healthcare professionals working with families in the perinatal period. This includes mental health professionals, nurses, physicians and midwives, doulas and birth workers, lactation consultants, health educators and more.
